You must be at least 13 years old to use Sweep. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account

You may not share your account or use another person’s account without permission.

Sweep is a hiking and outdoor exploration app that provides:

• Trail and park maps
• Location-based navigation and route tracking
• Activity history and trail data storage

Sweep may also include or introduce:

• Social features such as photo sharing, posts, comments, and profiles
• Tools for hike organizers to create, manage, and communicate about hikes or groups

We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

You may submit content to Sweep, including photos, comments, activity data, hike details, and other materials (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content. However, by submitting it, you grant Sweep a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your User Content solely for operating, improving, and promoting the Services.

You are responsible for ensuring that:

• You own or have rights to the content you post
• Your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights

Sweep may remove User Content at its discretion.

Sweep collects and stores activity data, including routes, distance, time, and location information, when you use tracking features.

You understand and agree that:

• Location tracking is optional and controlled by your device settings
• Activity data may be stored, displayed to you, and used to improve the Services
• Certain data may be shared publicly only if you choose to do so through social features

Outdoor activities such as hiking involve inherent risks, including injury, illness, wildlife encounters, weather conditions, and terrain hazards.

By using Sweep, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for your safety and decisions
• Maps and information are provided for reference only and may be inaccurate or incomplete
• Sweep does not guarantee trail conditions, accessibility, or safety

You assume all risks associated with your activities.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for unlawful or harmful purposes
• Post misleading, abusive, offensive, or infringing content
• Attempt to access or interfere with Sweep’s systems
• Scrape, copy, or misuse map or data content without permission

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

All content and materials provided by Sweep, including logos, designs, maps (excluding User Content), and software, are owned by or licensed to Sweep and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our permission.

You may stop using Sweep at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law.

Sections that by nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

Sweep is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sweep will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Services, including injuries, loss of data, or loss of access.

Your sole remedy is to stop using the Services.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Sweep is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the app or website. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
